Dell introduced the 12 page-per-minute (ppm) (color) 2135 MFP in August 2008 followed by the 16 ppm (color) 2130 in September of the same year. Both are members of the Dell 1320 / Xerox Phaser 6130 family of color printers.
Toner cartridges are available in 1,000 page low yield and 2,500 page high yield versions. Each is very small, measuring less than 7” in length with a direct contact chip located beneath a housing on the bottom of the unit. Although the cores themselves are the same as those used in the Dell 1320 printer the OEM SKUs are different and dedicated chips are needed for each printer and color. Keying is the same within the Dell family, but is unique for each OEM. They are not interchangeable between brands.
Cartridge SKUs differ with geographic regions. Static Control offers dedicated toner fill weights and chips for high yield cartridges. Chips are qualified for use in OEM SKUs sold in N. America only at this time.
